"The bison is an original animal. And finding about 70 American bison in an exceptional setting, in the middle of a countryside that seemed to come from another world, was a revelation for all of us. Between mountain pastures and forests, farms and tepees, we benefited from the calm of this really unusual place. In one day, we combined walks, learning about a typical animal world, archery, then food, with bison on the menu. The stuff of wonderful memories".

Opening times
Wednesday and Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Closed Monday and Tuesday
Closed one week in Christmas and in the middle of March at the end of April.

Prices
Menu with bison meat: CHF 31.00, from November to June.

Good to know

  • American bison ranch. The first bison came to Prés-d'Orvin in 1992 from South Dakota. The herd gets bigger every year and there are now 70 bisons.
  • Tour of the ranch with commentary.
  • Bison meat and other local products can be purchased at the farm.
