Farm cheese dairy of the family Sommer
"My wife and I went visiting the farm of the family Sommer in Monible and participated in the process of goat cheese making.
After having milked the goats, we were able to assist in every step of the cheese making process, from milk to cheese. At the end of the process our cheese was put in the cave in order to maturate and we were invited to taste all the delicious products the family Sommer is producing on their farm.
All in all it has been a fantastic trip and we are really looking forward to receiving our self-made cheese, which will be sent to us as soon as the cheese is mature."
For more than 20 years the family Sommer is specialized in the production of sheep’s milk and in the breeding of goats. The milk is used for the creation of sheep and goat cheese in their own farm cheese dairy.
In 2010, the international year of biodiversity, the farm won the silver medal at the Swiss competition “Biodiversity in agriculture”.
The family Sommer invites you, to visit their farm, to taste their different farm products and to participate in one of their different workshops!
