No need to be afraid of clichés and hack phrases: the VCV race is not for the faint-hearted. From Villeret (740 metres) to... Villeret, via Chasseral (1607 metres), after coasting from métairie to métairie (Plânes, Meuringue, Petite-Douane, Milieu de Bienne and Plânes again), this 25 km long route, with a change in height of over 1000 metres, can only be classed as difficult.
