"Today I am fulfilling one of my dreams and being a musher for one day. At the hamlet of Prêles, I meet with a professional musher who introduces me to his dogs, greenland hounds and Siberian huskies. Jacky has been working with them for over 20 years. I want to learn how to lead a team, and Jacky explains what I need to know, such as my position on the sled and the orders to the dogs. We put their harnesses on. They are just as impatient to get going as I am! What a beautiful day! The impressive landscapes on the Chasseral certainly measure up to the ones in the far north.
I find myself in a whole different world, and the day is over far too soon. To stay in this special atmosphere for a bit longer I sit down at the table of the Métairie de Gléresse and treat myself to a well-deserved fondue."
