Difficulty
This hike does not present any major difficulties, though it is important to wear good walking shoes. It is impossible to do this route with a pushchair.

Good to know

• Entrance fee: safety work is done each year to secure the footpath through the gorges. This is partly funded by an entrance fee. Adults please pay CHF 2.00, children please pay: CHF 1.00 at the gorge entrance.
• The gorges of Twann are closed from the 1st of November until Easter.
• Warning: the path along the gorges may be very slippery in wet weather.
• Before descenting into the gorges, stop off at the panoramic terrace of the Hotel Restaurant Twannberg.
• There is a funicular between Gléresse and Prêles so if you do not want to walk up the hill from La Neuveville, you can take the train or boat to Gléresse and then the funicular to Prêles. It’s mostly downhill from then.
