Cédric Simmen, mountain guide
Despite the cloudy sky, the snowy summits hinted that it would become a beautiful day for the winter walk. At 9 o'clock in the morning, with our snowshoes fastened securely to our shoes, we were ready to set off. Our efforts were rewarded when we finally looked down into the valley of Elay and from that moment on the excursion turned into a panoramic wonder. The Alps to the South, the Black Forest and the Vosges to the North. The history of the area caught up with us when we came across a boundary stone for a little country that no longer exists...
A mountain guide and an expert of the region, Cédric Simmen offers trekking tours and guided walks ranging from one to several days in the Jura Mountains and the Alps. It is also possible to explore the Jura Mountains and its cultural and natural treasures thanks to a predefined or customised programme and on request.
For those who love walking and exploring the local area, the new weekly AboRando walking subscription offers a choice of 10 guided tours over 12 months. The walks take place on Wednesday evenings in the region of Moutier, alternatively in Delémont.
